Big Fish Casino, Jackpot Magic Slots
The multi-hour bonus was a feature that allowed users to collect a certain amount of chips every thirty minutes. The redesign aimed to not only evoke more user delight, but to increase short term retention and sessions per day by adding multiple timers in a new ‘bonus tab’ that lived within the casino’s main game lobby.
PROCESS
I worked with product, art and animation teams to design a new and exciting bonus experience. It was important to make the bonuses feel valuable, be quick to unlock, and incorporate video ad placement. After much iteration and user survey feedback, we went in the direction of three tiered vaults.
WIREFRAMES & PROTOTYPING
Using Principle and After Effects, I created prototypes and motion mocks to help determine flow and pacing of the feature.
FINAL RESULTS
Both Big Fish Casino and Jackpot Magic Slots saw dramatic increases in the amount of sessions and session length, as well as an increase in video revenue driven by higher video engagement.
